A chapter in Sustainable Aviation, 2022, pp 75-90 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter serves as an intermediate discussion on the role of technology, policy, and behaviour change to achieve sustainable aviation and is intended to serve as preparation for the following chapters. To have a better overall understanding, future scenarios from a techno-optimistic point of view are contrasted with scenarios based on political interventions and behavioural changes. Based on a combination of techno-optimistic and behavioural change-based scenarios, a path towards sustainable aviation is outlined.
