Abstract:
Abstract Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in the eastern China’s Shandong province is one of the longest bridges in the world. The project connected the eastern and western areas of the Qingdao region in China. The bridge transects the Jiaozhou Bay and reduces the journey distance between Qingdao and Huangdao by 30 km. The 110-ft-wide bridge cost more than 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion). The construction of the bridge provided better connectivity between the two fast growing industrial regions on the either side of the bay thereby boosting the local economy.
