Abstract:
Abstract Lean experts investigate to what extent the principles of lean management, which are already a proven concept in industry for process-oriented quality assurance while increasing efficiency, can be applied to the control, support and core processes in the healthcare sector (Kraft, 2016). Learning from the best-practices examples of other industries, there are three success-relevant recommendations for action for the introduction of lean projects in hospitals:
