Abstract: Abstract Addressing decision-making in dynamic social systems requires departing from the paradigmParadigm of TaylorismTaylorism into new territoryTerritory. Yet there is also a gap between different schools of thought about dynamics of social systemsSocial system. The notion of leverage points is somewhat disconnected from computer models of social systems. Stock and flows are treated separately from circular causality. Management of businesses is seen as different to policyPolicymaking and to governanceGovernance. Segregation and increasing returns are understood as different phenomena and so on. This chapter describes emergence and merger of different schools of thought about dynamics of and decision-making in social systems as a personal scientific journey.
