Chapter Chapter 8 in The Illusion of Control, 2023, pp 129-153 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter presents a new method for controlling projects called “analytical project control”. The method aims to find a balance between the existing simple methods and the statistically complex methods to manage projects. The ultimate goal is to make the statistical project control methods from previous chapters easier to use without losing their power and ability to detect problems on time. Based on several metrics that measure the signal quality of these analytical methods, it will be shown that the best of both worlds (simplicity and power) can be brought together in these new project management methods.
