Chapter Chapter 5 in Strategy Praxis, 2023, pp 153-161 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Strategic problem-solving features both procedural and content components. The procedural part draws on the strategic thinking process and algorithm. Content in the form of insights, guided by strategic thinking, is generated through strategic analysis. The tandem mode introduced in this chapter integrates strategic thinking and analysis in problem-solving and involves a stage-wise oscillation between the two components. When based on the first principles-based, insight-driven concepts discussed in earlier chapters, the tandem approach imparts coherence and conceptual rigour to strategic problem-solving.
