Abstract: Abstract The company was established by Joseph J. Jacobs in the year 1947. The company is publicly traded as a Fortune 500 company. This American international technical professional services firm provides a full spectrum of professional services which includes consulting, technical, scientific, and project delivery for government and private sector. The company had approximately $15 billion in revenues during the year 2021. Jacobs Group has a talent force of approximately 60,000 people worldwide. In 2022, the company repurchased $281.9 million in shares. The major business lines of the company are Critical Mission Solutions (CMS), People & Places Solutions (P&PS), and investment in PA Consulting (PA). The company is also in the process of creating a new enabling platform Divergent Solutions (DVS) to support its lines of businesses to develop and deliver innovative, next-generation cloud, cyber, data, and digital technologies. In March 2022, Jacobs launched a new 3-year strategy to focus on three growth accelerators of climate response, consulting and advisory, and data solutions. Jacobs pursues acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments to create long-term value. The average yearly return for Jacobs and market indexes S&P 500 and S&P 1500 IT Consulting were 16.39%, 10.30%, and 7.27% during the period 2018–2022.
