Abstract: Abstract Merchants Bancorp is a diversified bank holding company headquartered in Indiana, USA. The company was founded in 1990 as a mortgage banking company which provides financing for multifamily housing and senior living properties. Merchants Bancorp operates different lines of business such as Federal Housing Administration, multifamily housing, healthcare facility financing, mortgage warehouse financing, retail and correspondent residential mortgage banking, agricultural lending, and community banking. Merchants Bank is also a syndicator of low-income housing tax credit and debt funds. The strategy of the bank is to create a diversified financial services company at national level through mortgage banking and related services and locally through community bank. The bank focuses on organic growth.
