Abstract:
Abstract Veritex is a state banking organization based in Texas. Veritex Holding is the parent holding company of Veritex Community bank. The bank commenced banking operations in the year 2010. The bank offers a wide range of banking services which include commercial and retail lending, checking and savings deposit products to individual and corporate customers. The current primary market for the bank includes Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the Houston metropolitan area. Community banking is the reportable segment of the company and generates revenues basically from interest income on loans, customer service and loan fees, gains on sale of government guaranteed loans and mortgage loans, and interest income from securities investment. The customers of the company include small- and medium-sized businesses with annual revenues of less than $30 million. The company has its IPO in the year 2014. Vertex bank is one among the ten largest banks headquartered in Texas. By December 2022, the bank had 763 full-time employees. The 7-year holding period return for Veritex Holding Inc. was 101% while for the peer group and Nasdaq Bank Index, the 7-year holding period return were 84% and 66%, respectively.
