Abstract:
Abstract National Bank Holdings Corporation (NBHC) is a Denver-based bank holding company which provides community banking services. National Bank Holdings through its bank subsidiaries NBH Bank and Bank of Jackson Hole Trust operates a network of over 95 banking centers to serve individual consumers, businesses, and government institutions. NBH Bank operates through brands such as Community Banks of Colorado, Community Banks Mortgage, Bank Midwest, Bank Midwest Mortgage, Hillcrest Bank Mortgage, Bank of Jackson Hole, etc. The banking centers are located primarily in Colorado, greater Kansas City region, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, New Mexico, and Idaho. By December 31, 2022, NBHC held $9.6 billion in assets, 7.2 billion in loans, $7.9 billion in deposits, $1.1 billion in shareholders’ equity, and $0.8 billion of trust and wealth management assets under management. The Commercial and Specialty Banking division focus on small- and medium-sized businesses and commercial real estate investors and developers. The 5-year holding period return for NBHC was 44% compared to 19% and 22% holding period returns accounted by market indices KBW Regional Banking Index and Russell 2000 Index. During the period 2018–2022, the average growth rate of total assets, gross loans, deposits, and total equity were 14%, 17%, 15%, and 12%, respectively.
