Chapter Chapter 2 in Navigating an EU Research Project, 2024, pp 7-18 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter provides guidance on preparing for an application for EU funding. Developing a network of long-term relationships with others interested in your field of expertise is crucial to maximise chances of obtaining funding. The chapter also highlights the importance of a thorough evaluation of EU policy and aligning a project idea with specific EU policy goals. The chapter emphasises that building a relationship with the EU National Contact Point and seeking their advice on which EU funding calls to apply for in relation to an idea are crucial when thinking about an application.
