Chapter Chapter 5 in Navigating an EU Research Project, 2024, pp 59-79 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses the project launch, called the ‘Kick Off’ meeting and successfully establishing an interpersonal commitment to project implementation. The chapter emphasises the central role of the project co-ordinator for this. The project co-ordinator needs to project self-assurance about the project’s importance and the participatory significance of each partner in achieving success. Engaging partners with the development of a project manual and oversight boards will make them feel valued as well as establishing solid operational mechanisms.
