Chapter 7 in Intelligence Studies in Business, 2024, pp 181-200 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we list and describe the various possibilities for where the intelligence function can be placed within the organization. Suggestions are made as to optimal locations under different circumstances, all based on research. We will also examine the types and levels of competence needed in the different parts of the intelligence cycle and discuss the interdisciplinary nature of intelligence work in organizations.
