Chapter Chapter 16 in General Management Principles for Project Management, 2025, pp 159-169 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In project management, the importance of suppliers is crucial to ensure that projects not only achieve their internal objectives but also meet customer expectations. Customer focus, supported by ISO 31000 and ISO 10006 standards, enables significant added value through effective management of supplier relationships. This approach ensures that every phase of the project is aligned with customer needs, enhancing overall quality and satisfaction. Actively engaging customers and suppliers, effectively managing requirements, ensuring quality, mitigating risks, and promoting a customer-oriented corporate culture are essential steps for the long-term success of projects and for building lasting and fruitful relationships.
