Technology Foundations of Autonomic Business

Christos Voudouris

Chapter Chapter 3 in Autonomic Business Transformation, 2025, pp 31-43 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Autonomic business relies heavily on the integration of technological advancements that, on their own, are not sufficient to enable it. It is the combination of these technologies, collectively referred to as agentic AI, that provides the foundation for building AI agents and, ultimately, the emergence of autonomic business. Many of these technologies have been evolving for a long time. This chapter takes a deep dive into the underpinning technologies and explores how they are brought together in AI agents to deliver the key functional blocks of an advanced agentic architecture.
