Chapter 38 in China Business 2.0, 2015, pp 201-204 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract China’s civil servants and government apparatus remain inefficient in many ways. Government jobs are coveted positions, since they are well-paid and offer excellent pension packages. Nevertheless, low performance and slow service are condoned. Time-consuming and excessive bureaucratic hurdles, long waits for permits and licenses, as well as confusing regulations are the norm, not a rarity.
