Chapter 11 in Entrepreneurs in Family Business Dynasties, 2015, pp 247-253 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter provides a summary of various elements presented in the book that build the conditions for the continuity of successful family businesses. This chapter focuses on four major elements: 1. Values—as the means by which the individuals build their own identity as members of a family business. 2. The relationships between generations—how these represent the basis for continuity within these family businesses. 3. Family identity—how this strengthens family business. 4. Family and business—how these become equal domains through the role of the individual who links the two. Each element is discussed separately in this chapter.
