Abstract: Abstract In Chap. 2 we defined the term logistic (Sect. 2.4 ) as an ordered set of logistic nodes (bases, facilities, plants, logistic units) and lines of communication (LOCs). The logistic network embodies the physical components and attributes of an operational logistics (OpLog) system. In particular, it represents the logistic in the theater of operations and the logistic (see definitions of these terms in Chap. 2 , Sect. 2.4 ). The logistic nodes and the LOCs constitute the OpLog deployment, while the logistic flow in this network is generated by the logistic support chain. Thus, the logistic network is a tangible, observable, and measurable entity. It is the physical representation of the OpLog system.
