Abstract:
Abstract The concepts that I will introduce in this chapter are new and, therefore, may be difficult to understand immediately. I will explain these concepts by means of an example, in order to make them more understandable for you as a reader. On the basis of this example we will also see how, within organizations, we are exposed to a surplus of information—information that does not actually add anything. The example will show what little of this information really matters: the essence of the information in the organization. And that this essence is easier to oversee and to control. First, however, I will describe the example.
