Abstract: Abstract This chapter describes the system of cadastres and land registers as well as the characteristics of real estate brokerage and the system of notary publics in Germany and contrasts some of its aspects with the situation in other countries in Europe. In addition, the chapter explains the new legislation concerning the regulation of rents in Germany.
