Who Needs a Coach?

Chapter 6 in Effective Coaching, and the Fallacy of Sustainable Change, 2016, pp 99-118 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The consequence of the misconceptions and ambiguities in coaching can lead to a natural question: who needs a coach? Staying true to my competencies of leadership and intercultural communication I have selected to discuss three areas where I have clear evidence, based on my coaching experience of 5 years with C-level executives, managers and private people, and also business experience, that coaching is needed by particular groups of professionals and makes a very significant difference to clients. I have conducted numerous interviews with decision makers of world class corporations, and asked the question, who needs a coach? The impact of coaching in the companies where I have coached executives and managers is so palpable that subsequent to their own coaching experience, the CEOs reported that all managers in their company should be coached.
