Chapter 3 in The Global Supply Chain, 2017, pp 67-112 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract For supply chain managers, long-term considerations regarding economic development, the future of industrial sectors and ecosystems, and geopolitics were less of a priority in the past. Events, such as 9/11, the Arab Spring, and the growing number of trade barriers and geopolitical tensions impacting the global supply and value chain, however, have stressed the importance of monitoring key trends within the economic environment.
