Chapter 9 in The Strategic Procurement Practice Guide, 2017, pp 167-177 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The purchasing environment is evolving, as demonstrated over the course of this book, and this has resulted in drastic changes when it comes to buyer requirements. The traditional method of order processing will quickly reach its limit when faced with the new tasks. This chapter is thus dedicated to personnel development, providing assistance to those personally involved in this change. The reader will receive an insight into the technical and personal competence fields of a modern Buyer, which are necessary for meeting the growing demands.
