Chapter 2 in Achieving Organizational Excellence, 2018, pp 27-36 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The globally well-known quality awards are the American Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) and European Foundation for Quality Management’s Excellence Award. These were developed with the purpose of assisting organizations in developing and fostering competiveness. The use of these awards and impacts are evidenced globally. The studies that were conducted in last few years have shown that these awards have enormous benefits to winning organizations. While past research exists on various benefits gained globally, this chapter aims to provide some insights of recent winners as well to discuss the UAEs quality award. The purpose also is to showcase one strong theme of excellence of winning organizations. Finally, the chapter concludes by exhibiting a case of a winner of UAEs national quality award.
