Abstract:
Abstract Excellence is not a destination but a journey to be continued! Organizations therefore must constantly strive to achieve and sustain its superior performance. Organizations also need established approaches such as excellence frameworks to stay and succeed on this ever challenging journey. This chapter will particularly introduce the EFQM excellence Model Enablers: Leadership, Strategy, People, Partnership/Resources and Processes, and product and services. Each of these enablers are discussed in this chapter with an illustration of EFQM award winning cases and by providing examples of “good practices. Opening Vendetta on each enabler further presents the importance of each of the enablers of the excellence model In addition, the chapter will also provide a commentary on Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. The chapter helps quality managers to understand specifically: What leaders do to achieve organizational excellence? How do excellent organizations shape their strategy and what are the outcomes achieved? What and how outcomes are achieved through people enabler? How do excellence organizations deploy the process, partnership and resources enabler?
