A chapter in Sustainable Fashion, 2018, pp 83-95 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, the author introduces Filippa K’s approach to sustainable fashion. It includes the firm’s manifest which support them in their strive to inspire a movement of mindful consumption. A second element is Filippa K’s Circular Fashion concept devoted to the four R’s: reduce, repair, reuse and recycle. Related strategies include creating products with minimal negative impact that are part of a circular mind-set, running the Filippa K second hand store, offering leasing concepts as well as recycling. A second pillar is collaboration with stakeholders and governance initiatives such as the Fair Wear Foundation where Filippa K shows strong commitment as participating brand. Last but not least, Filippa K is an enthusiastic innovator and this chapter demonstrates the firm’s great interest in pursuing new paths towards sustainable supply chains.
