Chapter Chapter 9 in The Timeless Principles of Successful Business Strategy, 2011, pp 61-71 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Once the decision on technical or organizational change has been taken, it’s time to put it in place. The leader’s great challenge now is to overcome the inertia of the structure. For Newton’s first law of inertia applies to organizations: if there is no force acting upon on an object or if the sum of these forces is equal to zero, the object’s direction and speed do not change, and its acceleration is nil.
