Chapter Chapter 3 in The Road to a Modern IT Factory, 2014, pp 35-41 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The ICT industry is in the throes of sweeping structural change. Consolidation and the formation of sub-markets on the demand side and the globalization of value creation and industrialization on the supply side are challenging the traditional beliefs of the industry. Competition is increasing and relative growth rates are decreasing, as is visible in IT outsourcing in particular. Each and every provider is therefore being forced to develop a sustainable new business model on the basis of their established positions and skill sets. Mastering that transformation can be considered one of the key challenges for IT businesses anywhere in the world.
