Abstract: Abstract In order to be able to classify the challenges for achieving digital excellence, we first take a look at the big picture. How has our world developed into a VUCA world? What are the challenges that go hand in hand with this development? What impact does digital Darwinism have on our industry? How can the opportunity and threat situation be determined for your own company? For this purpose, a systematic analysis of the macro-environment is carried out using the PESTEL-analysis. The aspects that need to be taken into account in the development of digital excellence are systematically worked out.
