Chapter 9 in Data Governance for Managers, 2022, pp 155-158 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In addition to successfully setting up a data organization, knowledge about data and how to handle this knowledge is a key competence for successfully meeting the challenges of digital transformation in companies. Understanding the significance of data in systems and databases is the basis for broad data knowledge in the company and the foundation for good Data Governance. Many companies today still do not follow a uniform and structured standard for the definition of data and therefore have to invest unnecessarily high efforts to establish a common knowledge base within teams and projects.
