Chapter Chapter 12 in People Analytics, 2022, pp 191-223 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The People Analytics possibilities are not a recent phenomenon. Even in the last decade, organizations have been collecting HR metrics to measure critical KPIs that matter, such as “retention rates”, “employee engagement” or “time to fill”. During that period, KPIs were pretty basic, relying mostly on simple charts and resorting to generating insights only for specific projects. Then things started changing with globalization, talent mobility, business models reinventing themselves and of course the data explosion. It was only a matter of time before Statisticians started making an appearance in the HR function along with a relatively new domain of “data science”.
