Abstract: Abstract The world is experiencing increasing urbanization. According to the United Nations, more than half of the world’s population lives in urban areas today. This trend will continue to increase. It leads to both business opportunities and challenges for logistics service providers. This chapter presents a candid look at the logistics and supply chain landscape by examining the trend of urbanization and its impact on business activities and the environment.
