Abstract: Abstract This chapter introduces Duan Yongping’s business strategy of “dare to be latter,” which focuses on segmenting the market, avoiding high-risk fields, and ultimately occupying a leading position in mature markets. Duan Yongping successfully launched brands like Vivo and OPPO, achieving significant success in multiple fields. The core strategy is to avoid early investment in immature markets and instead enter when the timing is right, thus reducing trial-and-error costs and leveraging the advantages of being a latecomer to gain market share.
