Chapter Chapter 15 in Strategic Management and Organizational Development, 2025, pp 181-201 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines how businesses experience growth and decline across different market stages, using examples such as Tesla, Nvidia, and Zoom. By analyzing the influence of market cycles, the chapter reveals how businesses can adjust their strategies in times of rapid change to seize new growth opportunities. It also emphasizes that a company’s success does not rely solely on technology or products but on its sensitivity to external environmental changes and its ability to respond swiftly. The chapter offers different recommendations for different types of companies, such as tech-driven companies and supply-chain driven companies, to help them navigate the ups and downs of market cycles.
