Chapter Chapter 10 in A Guidebook for 5GtoB and 6G Vision for Deep Convergence, 2023, pp 217-246 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The healthcare industry is an aggregation and integration of health-related sectors, including hospitals, medications, medical devices, and health management. It involves not only sectors directly related to medication and healthcare—specifically pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare services—in a narrow definition, but also peripheral sectors—such as pharmaceutical devices, packaging materials, and talent services—in a broader definition. Generally, the industry consists of various healthcare institutions (such as hospitals) and their upstream and downstream services and can be divided into three primary branches: pre-hospital, in-hospital, and out-of-hospital.
