Abstract: Abstract The industrial revolutions and accompanying scientific and technological evolution have led to four large-scale manufacturing industry migrations around the globe and the emergence of five industrial zones in Western and Eastern Europe, North America, on Japan’s Pacific Coast, and on Asia’s eastern coast. The current industrial revolution, the fourth, is empowered by accelerated innovation, rapid iteration, and breakthrough of next-generation information technologies.
