A chapter in Operations Research Proceedings 2017, 2018, pp 609-615 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This paper describes the development process of a System Dynamics model for the air transport system (MATS). The focus of this paper is placed on the methodological steps required to model the air transport system, from the organization and management of a multidisciplinary team to the statistical data analysis required to reliably parameterize the System Dynamics model. The MATS model represents a step forward regarding the inclusion of multiple interrelated aspects from this industry, and their potential integration on a global scale.
