Abstract: Abstract Digital transformation is affecting the economy. Startups act as role models for new software-driven business solutions by benefiting from a global innovation eco-system. To assure constant innovation, they are run on flat organizational models. A key success factor lies on their collaboration around open source software, and on how it sets a standard for the future of open innovation.
