Abstract: Abstract The following chapter addresses the aftermath of social media addiction, by presenting possible outcomes and consequences of such behavior. Particularly, the chapter contributes to the literature by presenting the factors that may affect Generation Z users after developing an addiction to social media. Results from studying participants show that some consequences of social media addiction may include dependence of smart devices, lack of productivity, developing negative feelings and low self-esteem, lack of social interaction, obsessive thoughts, lack of rest and waste of time.
