Abstract:
Abstract This chapter asks the question why it makes sense to economize and, in addition, to worry about efficiency and effectiveness. Who shall benefit from such concerns? The teachings of management stipulate that organizations stand a better chance of success if managers pay close attention to what their organizations produce, and how.
