Abstract: Abstract So often PMs fall into the profession and it’s only later that they realize that it is in fact a profession. Many fields have global professional organizations that manage certifications and provide numerous resources to members. For PMs this organization is the )Project Management Institute (PMI). But simply being a PMI member isn’t enough, nor is it enough to hold one of its credentials. No, to be a professional PM requires much more.
