Chapter Chapter 13 in Increasing Learning & Development’s Impact through Accreditation, 2020, pp 217-235 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Accredited learningAccredited learning and development (L&D) program(s)program evaluation and development departments must conduct self-evaluations of their programs and maintain a system of permanent learner recordsAccredited learning and development (L&D) program(s)system of record keeping. The accuracy and availability of learner training records need to be policy driven to assure both accountability and the quality of learning and development programs. Applying immediate learner assessments, such as testing learners after the training session or holding discussions with learners (Chapter 12 , “Learner Feedback and Job Application”), helps training professionals to make content or delivery improvements to the session or course. Accredited learning and development units establish comprehensive evaluations of their full training offerings in order to make structural and operational improvements. Chapter 13 will discuss the processes of full training program evaluation, undertaken to support continual improvement of the learning and development department.
