Abstract:
Abstract Dr. D.D. “Don” Warrick has been a consistent contributor to the field of organizational development (OD) for over 50 years. Between his long-time tenure as a university professor and his work as an organizational consultant, his influence has reached over 10,000 students and thousands of OD professionals and leaders with his passion for using OD skills to help build healthy, high-performance organizations and to effectively manage change. Dr. Warrick has dedicated his career to helping define the field of OD, preparing OD professionals, and to promoting the idea that students, leaders, and change champions need to understand the fundamentals of OD to be successful in times of dynamic change. This chapter identifies the influences that prepared him for a career in OD and provides insights into his contributions to OD education, scholarship, and consulting.
