Chapter Chapter 14 in Human Resource Development in South Korea, 2020, pp 261-284 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of this chapter is to analyze and present the intellectual structure of the HRD field in South Korea. To do this, author profiling analysis was utilized. Author profiling is a text mining technique and can facilitate the analysis of the intellectual structure in a field. The examined intellectual structure includes information on the main researchers and research groups in South Korean HRD as a field of study. For this chapter, a total of 1977 papers published by 59 major authors in Korea over the past ten years (2010–2019) were collected. Subsequently, the indexes from each researchers’ paper titles, abstracts, and keywords were analyzed. Relationships between researchers and research groups were identified and discussed based on the research topics. In addition, this chapter provides a visualization map that will help readers understand the intellectual structure of HRD in Korea.
