Chapter Chapter 9 in The Economy of Tourism in Bangladesh, 2021, pp 201-204 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The tourism industry can play an inevitable role in upgrading Bangladesh as a high-income nation by 2041 since the country is blessed with natural beauties, vast coastline, and mangrove areas. Throughout the different chapters, this book has critically discussed many aspects of Bangladesh’s tourism industry through the lens of economic significance, prevailing barriers, public–private partnerships, globalisation, regional integration by using qualitative and quantitative approaches. This chapter summarises and brings all the policy suggestions under the same umbrella and proposes a conceptual model for the sustainable development of Bangladesh’s tourism industry.
