Chapter Chapter 27 in Media and Change Management, 2022, pp 491-501 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The various authors who contributed to this book shed light on a wide variety of facets of change. There is a consensus in the contributions that change affects every organization and needs to be dealt with pro-actively. The pace at which change is taking place has accelerated considerably over the past decades, driven by developments like convergence, digitization, and mediatization. However, industry surveys found that the majority of managers claimed to fail at bringing about change (75%; Stanleigh, 2008). This is a problem that has already existed for a long time. In this context, agility presents a viable concept and accounts for organizations’ capabilities to embrance change in a fast-paced environment.
