Abstract:
Abstract The first chapter statesglobal supply chains a general overview of the book such as the background, objectives, and structure. It briefly outlines the incentives for the book. The chapter describes the main value of the book in reducing the complexities of decision-making and managing FSMS. Compared to other studies of CSFs for FSMS, this book not only applies CSFcritical success factors (CSF) approach proactively to identify the enabling mechanism for continuous improvement of the FSMS implementationFSMS implementation but also provides dynamic roadmaps based on the status of each firm’s key FSMSFood safety management system (FSMS) characteristics. The enhanced understanding of the best practice of FSMS implementation would help to mitigate failure risk and lead to safer food supply chains. The approaches presented in the book can be an easy-to-use and practical method for food managers in their routine operation management.
