Abstract:
Abstract This chapter deals with the identification of the success factors in an industry. In Sect. 16.2, the idea of success factors is explained. Different types of success factors are distinguished, and it is shown how these are linked to tools of strategic analysis and planning. In Sect. 16.3, a process for the identification of the industry-specific success factors is proposed and illustrated by the example of the car garage industry.
