Chapter 5 in The Strategy Planning Process, 2022, pp 33-39 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter introduces the strategy planning process, which is afterwards detailed in Parts II to VII of the book. Section 5.1 briefly explains the underlying elements of this process. An inset notably describes three heuristic principles and shows how they are applied in the strategy planning process. Section 5.2 then presents the proposed strategy planning process that is followed throughout the book and summarizes the six steps of this process. As a core for understanding the process and its elements, Section 5.3 links the recommended strategic planning process with the respective tools for strategic analysis and planning. For 27 tools, it is explained in which step of the process they can be applied.
