Abstract: Abstract Spirituality is a multifaceted concept in our imaginations, hearts, and lives, and also in the field of leadership. Spirituality can also be a powerful force for leaders. Within this chapter, various standpoints and spiritual philosophies will be used as lenses to examine elements of servant leadership as well as the aspects of healing deeply rooted within it. More specifically, Christianity, Black Christianity, Eastern frameworks, and Womanism are explored as sites for servant leadership and healing. The authors argue that one of the great strengths of servant-leadership is the potential for healing oneself and others. Servant leaders assist people in solving their problems and they take interest in followers’ well-being in addition to their professional capacities; these are facets of healing. The chapter then moves to the current contexts of global challenges and suffering to offer possibilities for growth. The authors argue for the particular need for servant leadership in the current contexts of a global pandemic, climate crisis, and racial injustice. There are clearly many tragedies that require careful thought as well as action from followers as well as leaders. So, what can we do with these complex issues within a world that cries out for justice and healing? The chapter concludes with a call to action and change, as well as suggestions for expansion of the research and praxis.
